It's been a while since I have written my thoughts down. I was not able to make an official 'goodbye' post to my freshman year, perhaps because it wasn't how I wanted to end it?
Nevertheless, I want to make a fresh start. So fresh that I had to switch majors. Yes, lmao, I switched majors. I'm a mechanical Engineering major. wow. The best part is, I see myself studying it, and not just to earn the title of a 'helluva engineer'. I have to start living more and realizing and feeling less. This is officially my motto for this year. No more emotional weekends, no more hesitance to talk to new people, no more waiting and no more sitting. At least till computer burns me out and I crash out. I am already crashing out because I have to study CS. I absolutely hate the subject. It is pretty ironic considering I am at tech where 80 percent of the people are studying CS ( a slight exaggeration maybe). On the flip side, I get to study physics finally. I can finally start making physics-related-pick-uplines again(I had lost practice).
A little summer recap, I read a ton of books. My favorite was tomorrow, tomorrow and tomorrow. I do not know if it was the timing of reading that book or the book itself, but I love Sadie and Sam and I have gained a new appreciation for friendships. To summarize this book, it is about two best friends who meet under very different circumstances and get close immediately. Anyhow, they turn out to be such cute friends that the love that they held for each other through their friendship was just enough and pure. I also came across a very cute and ancient bookstore in a hidden valley in Prague. You have no idea how in awe i was. It had a typewriter so old that I had to completely question my blog (not like I am very consistent). Imagine writing on a type writer??? how cool is that.
Anyways, I do not hate laundry anymore.
There is a silver lining to everything.
Ps: consider this post as an update more than anything.
